Site rules & how it works
Last updated 17 September 2026
How the wall works
- A new brick costs a flat £5, one-off, and stays on the wall permanently once active — see "What we mean by permanent" below.
- Bricks are ordered by how recently they were purchased or bumped — newest/most recent at the top, oldest drifting toward the bottom.
- Any brick owner can pay a flat £1 at any time to "bump" their brick straight back to the top.
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe. A brick only appears once payment is confirmed.
What we mean by "permanent"
A brick stays on the wall for as long as this site remains active and in the control of High Heel Creative — it will not expire, and we won't take it down just because time has passed. "Permanent" isn't a promise that the site itself will run forever: if Belper Bricks is ever discontinued, or ownership and operation of the site changes hands, bricks may no longer be displayed. Outside of a rules breach (see "Moderation" below), we won't remove an active brick while we're the ones running the site.
What you can include
- Your real business name and logo (only images you have the rights to use).
- A short, honest description of your business (160 characters max).
- A link to your own website or an official social media profile you control.
What's not allowed
- Illegal, fraudulent, adult, or offensive content.
- Gambling or betting sites, vape or e-cigarette shops, and pornographic or adult-only content.
- Misleading claims, impersonation of another business, or links that redirect to something other than what's described.
- Malware, phishing, or anything that could harm site visitors.
- Content unrelated to a genuine local business or organisation.
Moderation
We reserve the right to remove any brick that breaks these rules, at any time, without a refund, and without needing to give advance notice. See our disclaimer for more on responsibility for content.
Refunds
Bricks and bumps are non-refundable once your brick is live, except where required by law or where we remove a brick due to a rules breach that was our error, not yours.
