How much does a brick cost?

£5, one-off, to add your business to the wall. It's a permanent spot — see site rules for what "permanent" means.

How is the wall ordered?

By total amount paid so far, highest at the top — not by how recently you paid. A new brick starts at £5; every bump adds to that running total, so the more a brick has paid altogether, the higher it sits.

What's a "bump"?

A bump is a flat £1 payment, any time, that adds £1 to your brick's running total — however many times you like. Because the wall is ordered by total paid, a bump moves you up, but only guarantees the very top spot if your new total is the highest on the wall.

Can I guarantee the top spot?

Yes — on the bump page there's a second option that shows exactly what it costs, right now, to take the #1 spot outright (just enough to edge past whoever's currently on top), as an alternative to the flat £1 bump.

Does the price of a bump go up each time?

No — the flat bump is always £1, no matter how many times you've bumped before. Taking the #1 spot outright costs more if someone else is already ahead, since it depends on the current top total.

Will I get a receipt?

Yes, Stripe automatically emails a receipt to the email address you pay with.

Can I edit my brick after it's live?

Not yet through the site itself — email hello@belperlocal.co.uk with your changes and we'll update it for you.

Can I get a refund?

Bricks and bumps are non-refundable once live, except where required by law or where we remove a brick due to our own error. See site rules for full details.

What can't I list?

Illegal, adult, or offensive content, gambling or betting sites, vape shops, and anything misleading or unrelated to a genuine local business — see the full list in site rules.

Where do I see how the site is doing?

Total visitors, revenue, and bricks added are all shown publicly on our live stats page.
